Salary: As an external contractor (preferred option): USD $31,000.00-$35,000.00 Annual; or as an employee: USD $20,000.00-$24,000.00 Annual

Job Overview
Operates under the direction of the HOA administrator and their delegates performing technical work and associated reporting, both in the field and in the office. Work is primarily focused on neighbourhood planning, architecture, inspections, engineering, providing direct customer assistance and other related duties as assigned. The successful candidate works well with contractors, owner committees, administration, and homeowners, identifying and resolving issues in a cooperative manner.
Reports To
Administrator and delegates of the HOA (Homeowners Association)
Responsibilities and Duties
- Inspection of plans and supporting materials
- Inspection of job sites for consistency with plans
- Oversee information flows and capture for Design Review Committee
- Obtaining additional supporting information for decision-making bodies
- Writing reports of actions and decisions taken by Association committees
- Assist with working within government regulations
- Other duties based on skills possessed and requirements of the Association.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Languages: Must be professionally proficient in both English and Spanish. Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
- Citizenship: Must be a Mexican Citizen
- Education and Experience: Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
- A completed bachelor’s degree (Licenciatura or equivalent) from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering, urban planning, architecture or a construction-related program, plus one year of professional experience in a related field.
- More than 7 years of experience in one of the following fields: Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Architecture or Construction Management, plus partial higher education studies in similar fields
- Previous experience with community planning or with a Home Owners’ Association (HOA) is an asset for this position.
- Skills:
- Follows principles and practices of civil engineering, urban planning, architecture and construction
- Organized and process oriented, skilled in basic report writing, research methods and data compilation.
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, plans, sketches, schematics, and diagrams.
- Modern office methods, practices, procedures and computer equipment.
- Proficiency with Word/Excel
- Adaptable to changing technologies and learn functionality of new equipment and systems.
- Knowledge of pertinent laws, codes, ordinances, and regulations related to planning, architecture and construction activities.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Inspection of construction related to the exterior architecture and general construction.
- Able to respond to requests and inquiries from the homeowners.
- Customer Service oriented with the ability to maintain effective working relations with homeowners, contractors, developers and home designers.
