Position: Project Coordinator – Pipelines - Reporting
Location: Alberta, Canada
Position Summary
As the Project Coordinator–Pipelines–Reporting, your main responsibility will be reporting on the whole project, ideally using MS Project.
In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to work with the EPCM’S Pipeline team, a fast-paced group of cross-functional professionals. This team ensures that all dependencies and deliverables are completed in advance of construction required by date, issues are effectively escalated, risks are mitigated, and key information is communicated to required Project Teams and Leadership to facilitate the delivery of the Project on-schedule and on-budget.
This is a 3-month contract position reporting to the Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide an interface with Project Management, Client, Vendors and Leadership to align project requirements with delivery of Project Team dependencies.
- Ensure action to advance the delivery of dependencies on-time, mitigate risks before they become issues, and resolve issues to maintain schedule.
- Coordinate actions relating to key risks, issues, and dependencies that present a significant threat to schedule. Escalate as required to PM & Leadership.
- Coordinate across functional groups and management levels to escalate issues and expedite actions and decisions.
- Coordinate with construction/implementation and project teams to produce readiness reports for discrete construction packages and support the Notice to Proceed process.
- Ensure all documentation is available to Project Management, Client, Vendors and Leadership through various reports, ensuring the Construction Binder is up to date, Line Lists are complete, and other various reports are timely issued and distributed to intended recipients.
- Manage and report on project Key Performance Indicators. Provide weekly financial summary with actual consumption and an active forecast to end of job.
- Produce regular reports to track status of major milestones and targets with associated risks and issues that may impact them, and progress of change management processes.
- Support the project management and leadership teams in understanding of data and data analysis.
- Track resource requirements, burn/consumption, and key delivery milestones.
- Ability to work onsite or remotely over construction hours.
Requirements
- Must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar field, preferred.
- 5+ years of project related experience preferred.
- Excellent Microsoft Excel and MS Project skills.
- Primavera experience nice to have.
- Analytical mindset with demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills as well as the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. Approaches challenges with mental tenacity and ability to overcome resistance and competing priorities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organization skills.
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
Location
This role can be completed remotely, with as needed travel to site.
