Position: Truck Driver – Bulk Driver

Wage: $25.00 to $29.00 CAD per hour – depending on location/employer

 Requirements

  • Class 1 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
  • Physically capable of moving/lifting heavy objects up to 23 kg., bending, standing, gripping, sitting/driving, walking, and climbing repeatedly for extended periods.
  • Able to work outdoors for extended periods of time and in all types of weather conditions.
  • Able to be on call 24 hours on a 15 days on a 6 days off rotational schedule, remaining fit for duty at all times (subject to change due to market conditions).
  • Able to work in congested or confined areas, and with exposure to loud noises and vibration.
  • Legally eligible to work in the country the role is based out of.
  • Minimum 1 year of Class 1 driving experience.
  • Experience in oil and gas field operations.
  • Class 1 driving experience on all types of roads.
  • Maintenance knowledge, mechanically inclined, and have the ability to troubleshoot.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, reliable, and dependable.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to change.
  • Understands the importance of safety.
  • Team player and customer service focused.
  • Demonstrated initiative and results orientated.
  • Experience with oil and gas cementing services.
  • Possesses oil field tickets.
  • Familiar with rig in and rig out procedures, mixing and pumping, and site cleanup.
  • Experience dealing with customers.
  • English: interview with a recruiter will be done to determine if is sufficient

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong external/internal client relationships in support of company values and objectives
  • Ensure oil changes are completed on company pickup trucks in your operation within 200 km’s of requiring it
  • Understand and assist with rigging in and rigging down units, mixing and pumping, and clean up on location
  • Know the terminologies and operation of some or all of the following equipment and components as it relates to the cementing of oil and gas wells; pumpers, dustless mixer, hydraulics, equipment with high pressure and centrifugal pumps, recording devices, fluid tanks, treating iron, long joints, pups, jackknifes, cementing hose, mud hose, changeovers, rag lines, plug loading heads, manifolds, and bulk handling components
  • Inspect equipment regularly and perform shop maintenance on field equipment
  • Maintain appropriate documentation in the vehicle at all times (i.e. emergency contact list, registration & pink card, CVIP, safety fitness certification, TAC permit, weight scale phone numbers, and service requirements)
  • Ensure efficient handling of day-to-day operations
  • Communicate effectively with clients and internally with other departments, including Sales and Dispatch
  • Adhere to and enforce company Safety policies and ensure compliance with HSE legislation and DOT regulations
  • Establish and maintain procedures to ensure high level of service
  • Participate in training and development activities
  • Other related duties as required

 

Position Scope

  • Reporting to the Station Manager and under the direction of the Supervisor, the Bulk Driver’s primary role is to operate, drive and care for field equipment, perform shop maintenance, and support the operational business. This role works closely with Greenhands and Operators. This position is considered to be a safety-sensitive position.

START DATE: As soon as possible

SALARY: $15$20 cad per hour (Depending on experience and work location)

WORKING HOURS: 35 - 40 hours per week

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods. 
  • Portion, arrange and garnish food.
  • Prepare food as required to ensure line is always stocked.
  • Notify chef in advance of likely shortages.
  • Maintain inventory and records of food temperatures, supplies and equipment.
  • Set up and oversee buffets.
  • Constantly use safe and hygienic food handling practices.
  • Maintain a clean kitchen and work environment throughout the shift.
  • Performs other duties as directed by the Executive Chef or General Manager.

GENERAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY

  • Strong culinary skills in a commercial environment. 
  • Ability to work on your feet all day and lift light to medium loads. 
  • Requires ability to give attention to detail and to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently.
  • Polite, enthusiastic & caring demeanor.
  • Real passion for food and creative flair. 
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure both independently, as well as in a team environment.
  • Good ‘knife’ skills are important.

HOURS OF WORK

This position requires you to work an average of 35-40 hours per week, with a schedule that will vary as dictated by the Kitchen Manager/General Manager. Flexibility with scheduling (weekend and/or evening hours) and able to work at short notice.

PAYMENT ADVANCE

  • Payment advance available to cover first month rent + security deposit deductible through payroll (deductions over a period of 6 months).
